Short Story Competition | 2018 Winners Congratulations to Pam Keevil who is the winner of our 2018 short story competition with “Throw the ball, count to ten, make a wish, do it again”, a deceptively simple tale featuring a transformative conversation between a young boy and his elderly neighbour. Congratulations also to Louise Hird who is our runner up with “Remembering Bert” which, without sentimentality, takes us inside the head of an elderly lady with dementia. You can download and read the stories here: https://www.amnestyelycity.org.uk/application/files/7515/4655/4966/Winner_and_runners-up_2018_stories.pdf …and a massive thank you to author Jim Kelly who judged our competition and generously donated a signed hardback first edition of his latest novel "Death Ship".
